Okay, to begin with we have... David. Does this look like David? I don't know. I have no record of his face. Needless to say, I doubt the inner regions of Dakkon's helm are as cheery...
Ah, Mark. Lord of Secrets. I was hoping that when he hit up his wallet to pay me that he would have had some counters on himself so that that many more dollars would be removed from the wallet instead. Alas, the Dimir don't tip.
Danshiro! This was a fun one. Actually my second Umezawa of the day. And nobody wanted a Jitte in their hand, can you believe that?! Colossus was the most popular with three drawings, but I have no photos of them.
This was a bit of a challenge, trying to squeeze the sword onto the page yet still have room for Wade's visage. He loved it. I love the sword.

Are we having fun yet?

What's that old saying? Magic cards resemble their owners...
This is an awesome caricature of one of the head judges, Sid Meilleur, who was extremely busy all weekend. He actually called me to where he was judging/working/spazzing and requested this and that I draw him from across the room. I rose to the challenge. It was interesting!
This kid drew a huge crowd as I drew this. Definately the most creative one of the day. Oh - and about halfway through he says 'Oh yeah - my hair is usually in a mohawk - do that, too!' Well, I took a chance and gave the kid the toothy grin and it drew applause. Fun stuff!
You know you can find some weird stuff if you study the art in Magic cards. Like the dead body in Deep Hours' art that this kid stressed that I not forget. By the way, this is Mattatog's brother. Sans mohawk.
Ah, John was my best customer. I think he got three from me. This was the best one of him. His features kinda resemble the ol' Apprentice himself. John, however, could not shoot sparks. At least not from his fingers...
Christina was one of those family members who walked around while waiting on someone competing. Poor girl. She'll loathe sweaty geeks long before high school! This was a challenge for me because the Witness is quite scantily clad. Awkward for Mr. 30-year-old caricaturist guy.
This guy was especially fond of the blood that is trailing across the art for the card. Which led me to check and see if his horns had been sawn off and he really WAS a minotaur.
One of the more interesting choices of a legend to be drawn as. This is one of those Magic illustrations that doesn't quite work in the card frame. Chainer's still a cool dude, however.
I think Elyse picked the perfect card for herself. You can't tell in the picture but she has a mane of her own fiery red hair. Christopher Mueller was signing cards at this event and Elyse did not hesitate to show him my work. He liked it! Whew!
John made a bold move in requesting an interpretation of this female guildmage. I commend him for it because I love the way it turned out. I mean, come on - I'm sure there are a few male guildmages... right? Right?!

Last but not least, I present to you Mr. Ted Knutson who has since left behind the constant maelstorm of genius and excitement that is Star City Games and entered into the bowels of Wizards corporate madness. Ted, if you're out there, I did not get an image of the actual Darksteel Knutson, so you are immortalized & pixellated here like this:
